Plasmacluster Ionizers Working? Ion Detector? A Regular Contributor writes;Ed (can I call you Sherbs?), Hi. Gotta a quickie for you: I am not sure if the pos and neg ionizers on my new Sharp Plasmacluster are working properly. Is there any way I can tell if they are doing anything other than the "prickles" test? I am not getting much of that either...
Ed's ReplyYou should hear the wires pinging as the ionizers cycle in and out, just a light ticking sound of metal contracting. I have an ion meter loop that came with my negative ionizers it lights up when near the field. It is just a little wire with some light emitting diodes that flash, couldn't cost much. But negativeiongenerators.com ships it free with the ionizer, I don't see it advertised separately. There are ion detectors, starting around $300 and up, way up. www.negativeiongenerators.com When I first got my Plasmacluster, i put a small houseplant on top, and left it running on pos-neg blue light plasma for a couple days. The plant showed signs of severe stress after 24 hours. The half closest to the air flow died on the second day. That's all i can think of. My father, who did some writing, used the pseudonym "Sherby" to get rid of the awkward French-American name. Good luck, Ed
