A Few Sharp Plasmacluster FP-P60CX Still Available 12/13/09 ================================= NOTE: Deal expired 020510 =======================================Sharp power User writes: Hi Ed - Good news, the vendor I found with the closed out stock of FP-P60CX units seems to be legit. I received my unit today via FedEx Ground, 8 days after I ordered it. It is in fact a new in box FP-P60CX, with filters in sealed plastic bags, etc. The store is kitchenandbathproducts.com: The price is $360 including shipping, which seemed reasonable, plus every few days they run a ten percent off sale (there's one going right now) which brings the price I paid down to $324 including shipping. After truly extensive searching, I was unable to find any other vendor anywhere which had these units. When I ordered mine a week ago, they told me they had 15 in stock. Incidentally, the filters are identical to the ones in the used Craig's List P60CX that I bought - the extra thick 1 13/16" Hepa filter, combined with a light-weight 9-chamber carbon filter (just over 11 ounces) which seems pretty much identical to the carbon filter in the P40CX. Also, the new P60CX is serial number 3930, surprisingly low and suggesting either that the P60CX sold remarkably few units over its lifespan - hard to believe - or that these units have been sitting overlooked in a warehouse for some time. Lastly, while looking for the serial number I noticed that the P60CX is in fact made in Japan; I had assumed that like the FP40CX it was made in China. I'm going to order two FZN60HFU filter sets from New Egg, and I'll let you know the details of what filters ship with that set when they arrive. Best wishes, Power User (for the record, Sharp Power User has no connection whatsoever with kitchenandbath other than having bought the air cleaner from them)
