Ed's ReplyHey Reader; I keep my ionizer close, except during sleep, when it is 8 feet away. The body will absorb the negative energy when the ionizer is within about 20 inches. I'd buy just one and see how you end up using it. The "room" marketing aspect I distrust. You live in a major urban center where the air is positively charged - near zero neg ions - one reason for the southern Californian's strong preference for the near-ocean properties with natural sea wave neg ions - so the machine will need to be close to have any effect. Motor vehicle exhaust is toxic. One aspect of this is the flocculation of negative ions by fine particulate - they collect and fall out, leaving a strong positive charge everywhere. Furniture, carpet, bedding other than cotton, and especially the metal skin of a moving car, all become positively charged. This electron deficit is extremely unhealthy, blood must be maintained in a slightly negative (alkaline) state for long term health. If you are interested in wellness and longevity, I recommend investigating the acid-base (pH) balance in the body and lifestyle changes to maintain alkalinity. See Robert O. Young's pH miracle and "alkalize or die" for example. A good source, long out of print, is Fred Soyka, The Ion Effect, published by Bantam Books, 1977. I believe the ionizer contributes precious electrons directly to my body. "Chance favors the prepared" Sincerely, Ed
