AliveAir Purifier is another Rebranded Intelli-Pro import A Reader writes: I have seen several YouTube videos touting the http://aliveairpurifier.com They claim 9 Separate Air Filtration and Purification Technologies (see below) in the Alive Air Machine. I do not believe this, but I thought it would be better to find out from a neutral party who is an expert (you). Have you tested this product? How does it perform?
Ed's ReplyHey Reader; "AliveAir" is another marketer importing, and self-branding, the Multi-Tech XJ-3800 Intelli-Pro. This machine evolved from the very similar Mitsubishi Heavy Industries MHI-6800. I have not tested an Intelli-Pro. Real air purifier testing is extremely costly, objective standards are lacking, and is simply not done. See my discussion of the shortcomings of both formal testing programs AHAM/CADR and Consumer Reports. see my review at; Newport 9000, Intelli-Pro Review AliveAir's entrepreneur does a good job of promoting the "more technologies is better" marketing hype. Youtube video is a very effective medium, the audience "believes" what they see on "TV." I give this guy credit for innovative marketing, establishing a brand premium solely on home-based guerrilla marketing. But look at the price - $300 - when Intellipros routinely go for much less. Intelli-pro is ranked 77 (out of 100) here, low powered but acceptable import in the under-$200 price class. If you buy any of the rebranded variants of this machine, please report your experiences after a few months. I expect many of the "multiple technologies" to falter with time. Good luck, Ed
