I just want to make a note that IQAir manufacture their cleaners in Switzerland, where the company is located.

On http://www.air-purifier-power.com/top-10-air-purifiers.html you can read that it´s manufactured in Sweden, no big deal but I wanted to let you know:)

During my search on air-cleaners on the web - which made me find your excellent site - I stumbled on this air cleaner www.neoventor.se

Have you seen similar cleaners like theirs? I can´t judge in which category that cleaner falls into, electrostatic, Ionics?

I have mailed the company with a question about ozone creation associated with the cleaner, waiting for a reply.

IF it doesn´t create ozone, what is your quick "expert" impression about it? Just the same as the rest of the bunch or something that could work?

As I understand, this could be something for smaller rooms and require vacuum cleaning the floor(One fitted with at least HEPA 13 filter) instead of cleaning/changing air-cleaner filter.

AirRevival is a negative ion generator, not new technology at all.

Their carbon fiber brush is probably nearly ozone free, earlier types using corona discharge made more ozone.

Neg ions are a controversial technology, banned by the medical establishment for actually curing disease. FDA forbids marketing with health claims, so the air cleaning aspect is the only route to market.

Negative ions remove particulate from the air by flocculation. Electric charges cause small particles to clump into heavier groups that cannot remain airborne. These settle on nearby walls. furniture, and floors, to be stirred up again when weather fronts bring positively charged winds.

Note that the ion field is relatively small.

I do not recommend negative ions as air cleaners.

However, I am a very strong believer in their utility as a wellness tool.

As I write, a Comtech Research Model IG-133A ionizer sits at my elbow.

I do not go far without it.

I have experimented with neg ions for many years, but earlier models had large unsophisticated emitters which were less useful.

I credit this ionizer, with interchangeable metal and carbon fiber brushes, with dramatically improving my health. Of course use of the neg ions has been combined with what many would consider an extreme alkalization diet and other therapies.

I did not see a price listed for the AirRevival, but the marketing looks upscale, pricey.
